The grounds of Lady Bird Park are split in half by the Live Oak Creek, which feeds the tall grasses that cover the property. Rolling hills disappearing into the distance and ancient Oak trees shade a large section of the property. Even on busy days, the park grounds are beautifully serene and full of natural life.

Those out for leisure can enjoy wandering the park’s nature trails, birding, picnicking, fishing in Live Oak Creek, or soaking in the beautiful forested scenery. Active guests can find fields for baseball, softball, and soccer as well as courts for tennis, sand volleyball, and basketball. The Lady Bird swimming pool is also open during summer months and golfers can play 18 holes at nearby Lady Bird Golf Course.  Aside from its impressive sports grounds, Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park also boasts five large outdoor pavilions for special occasions that come complete with oversized BBQ pits. Smaller groups can also enjoy BBQ pits at the park’s picnic table area.
