From the front, the Sunset Grill appears to be an unassuming two-story house. However, stepping through the seafoam-colored door reveals a contemporary eatery worth a visit. It is one of the top restaurants in Fredericksburg TX to offer a variety of gluten-free and vegetarian options. Enjoy a three-egg omelet served with home-style potatoes and toast or a variety of eggs benedict, such as the Frisco, with grilled tomatoes, red onions, sliced avocado, sautéed spinach, Swiss cheese, grilled English muffin, poached eggs, and signature hollandaise. For a sweet start to the day, sink your teeth into the caramelized banana French toast, with three thick slices of sourdough dipped in vanilla cream batter and grilled to a golden brown, topped with caramelized bananas.
The lunch menu starts with zucchini fries, southern fried pickles, and crab puppies for appetizers. Mains include a variety of burgers, wraps, and fish tacos. Sunset Grill is located just off of Fredericksburg’s main thoroughfare at 902 S Adams St. They are open Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Saturday 7am-3pm, Sunday 8am-2pm, and are closed on Wednesdays. There are no reservations accepted, so get there early for a table.
