Cate Zane
Fast forward to their move to Lakeway, Texas in 1993 where they raised three great sons between marketing and retail careers. Many getaway weekends were spent in Fredericksburg where they discovered charming B&B’s, wonderful wine, fresh peaches and produce, great German food and exceptional shopping. It was on one of those weekend trips several years ago they discovered in a local bookstore, the work of Zane Grey, author of “The Rainbow Trail” which led them to pursue their own rainbow trail in Fredericksburg. The name “Cate Zane” is attributed in part to Zane Grey’s spunk and literary encouragement, and the owner’s “Texas” nickname which is Cate.

InSight Gallery represents a select group of the finest painters and sculptors living and working today in landscape, figurative, impressionistic, still life, wildlife, and Western art. We are dedicated to bringing only the highest quality of fine art to the Texas Hill Country and to the national art market.
InSight Gallery was founded with both our artists and our art collectors in mind. We are committed to keeping our total number of painters and sculptors to a low number so that we can most effectively represent them, their art, and help them to develop their careers along with their collector base. We have proven that even with a gallery of less than 60 artists, we can keep diversity high and the quality even higher.
The fine art galleries of Fredericksburg, Texas have joined together to host a monthly event: First Friday Art Walk Fredericksburg!
These participating galleries open their doors at 10 am and extend their hours until 8 pm to allow everyone ample time to make it to all participating venues! This is a fantastic way to see the finest in regional, national & international art in a beautiful Texas Hill Country setting. Many of the artists are on hand to discuss their work and share their inspiration for their Fredericksburg TX art.
